Dutch suggested we have a 2nd Texarkana Lunch Run on the posting entitled "Home".  As he said, "Just for the heck of it" and "BEFORE the Kerrvile reunion".
 ClapClapClap

Are there any riders interested in doing this?

I can bring my trailer behind the bike with an ice chest for cold water on the ride from and back to the Dallas / Ft Worth area. It's not as big or organized as our fantastic Hydration Team but it would be cold and wet. Might even be able to find a way to recharge your neck coolers without spilling in the trailer.

I suggest we stay away from the 4th of July weekend just because of traffic but almost any other time is open.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Any others interested in a ride and meeting for lunch? If so please post a reply and any suggestions for a place to eat or date.

ALL,

I'm ready !!!!!!!  The bike and I have cleaned up and both are ready to do
some more riding.  Just let me know when.  Would love to see everyone again
and that includes "Ditchwitch" (aka NIGHTTRAIN).  That is if he can stay out
of the weeds, sand and ditches. LOL

ps ....... I'll be there "just for the heck of it"..........................

As noted previously, While there was a short(less than a mile) off road excursion, I made over 6000 miles (all of RFTW 2010) on pavement.  I only remember the road guards telling me to get off the Zipper a couple of times and I do believe it was painted it in the  wrong place because I was Almost directly behind the bike in front of me.

2nd Texarkana Lunch Run,  I'm ready, the Bike is ready. lets do it.

Cowboy's Desert Renegades,

NIGHTTRAIN was not in trouble when he left the highway for the ditch.  He was simply testing the steering mechanism in sand !!  I find that quite admirable.  He's a better rider than I am !!!!  I would have lost control for sure.

NIGHTTRAIN, WHAT HAPPENED AT THE GAS STOP ???????????  I have to know !!!!

Sparky got her on-call schedule for July. It looks like either 7/10 or 7/24 will work for us. She has to be by the phone and computer on 7/17. My schedule is a little more flexible than her's.

Not sure when this is going to happen or who is making that discussion.
Sapper & Raven would love to come.  The following are dates that we would not be able to make it!
From July 17th - July 31st.
We are heading to TN for the Star Days event then taking some time to ride Deals Gap and other roads in the area!
Thanks

Texarkana overnight run.  I may be able to make it the 2nd weekend in july.

The Fuel Stop!!  It was a dark and stormy nightLOL.  ok maybe not.

We had fueled up in New Boston after Stonewall and I got there.  Some how or other I wound up leading the run to gunners house for Lunch(Good Lunch  need Gunner & Betty Boop to cook again next year).  We all needed fuel for the run to Weatherford and again I wound up leading.  Decided to go through Dallas on I-30 and we were making good time till I noticed everyone motioning toward there gas tanks.
With quick thinking I selected a gas station that had been cut out of a hill side.  There wasn't a flat spot to be found.  Everyone, including me  fueled and parked for a minutes rest.  When we were ready to go I was trying to make a hard left turn on the hillside and just as I got aimed toward the street barely moving, I discovered that my left leg was way to short. Cry The bike fell over with my left leg under itDeadand I've never seen people move so fast. Barely had time to be Embarrassed and they had me and the bike up. and still they let me lead, or was it they didn't want to be in front of meLOL, .  But we did make it to Weatherford. Thanks everyone  Lets do it all again in 2011 except me falling over.

Thats my story and I'm sticking to it. Wink
