'Need the patch, for Gwyn & I.
I don't know how Williams had snow, and Angel Fire did not, but those who made the U-turn at Williams missed what the Run is all about.  Yes, it WILL get cold in Williams, but nothing that good gloves and a jacket can't handle.   Don't let last year's experience spook you, and miss the opportunity to roll into Gallop on Thursday afternoon or Angel Fire on Friday.  ANY VN vet needs to experience Angel Fire.

Mayor,   Spot on!  The Angel Fire Memorial will live in my mind and in my soul until there is no more me.  There's just something about the peace and solitude of that memorial that is made extra special by the fact that the family put it together originally.  For those of us to whom the UH-1 made our existence bearable, having that bird on tilt above the memorial reaches something down inside of me like nothing else has or can.  Sure there are Huey's mounted in several places I have visited; Cottonwood Falls and Emporia, KS, and the old warrior that guards the American Legion in Burlington, CO, it's just that the one at Angel Fire is in the attitude that I know so well.  I think Angel Fire was where I finally began to lay down a load I had carried for many years.  Still a work in progress and RFTW each year makes it a little easier to continue.  NIGHTHAWK
To those who fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know!

I will also never forget Angle Fire.  I made it through the snow with the help of family.  YOU!  Hope to see you all there again.  I am bringing five FNG's with me this year.  All The Way!

I am so looking forward to this. If I didn't have to work I would be starting in RC instead of Dallas.

Well Hello Mayor.  Which day is day one?  Some folks started their day one a week ago.  You all ride safe, rain or shine.  See you in Rancho Mr. Mayor.
