Less than that  -- 18 days 5 hours --41 minutes until my kickstand is up and westward bound.

Common weather -- little cooperation please.  (If not, to heck with it -- let's ride!)

Don't understand kick stands up. Don't have one. O yes I forgot we are on a trike. We just have to remember not to put our feet down. Getting lazy in my young old age.
Just got the trike back with a rebuilt engine, glad it happend at home and not on the road. Now to get 1000 miles on it and have the oil changed and we are good to go.
We are so ready.

See Fallout, that is why we have the Trike in the first place. She had a beautiful HD Heritage Classic but not comfortable on that, so now she has a new HD trike. Big smile Now she is happy....So, so am I, but don't get to ride my Road Glide......this year.

You guys are gonna have a blast, but at the end of it all you are going to wish you had both bikes. I know I am glad my wife rides her own on this trip, just for the packing room if nothing else. Of course as long as I do what I am currently doing on the run I don't have a choice, but it's even nice for the ride home. Not sure I could get her on the back seat for anything longer than a ride to dinner. I become the designated driver!!LOL

Gator, I am hoping that she falls in love with the mission and the Cause and NEXT year chooses to ride her own.  We will see. I am counting on all of you to convert her.

HarleyRG,  Pack everything on the trike and ride both bikes to Odessa for the Wedding.  Hairbrush will return to GP in the trike plt.  If she doesn't like it you can pull out at the first fuel stop and ride as outriders back to Dallas, leave the two wheeler and finish the run on the trike.  If she decides to ride atw just think of the extra stuff she can put on your bike Big smileBig smileBig smileLOLLOLLOL.

Thank you Nighttrain, but it is more a rider confidence level issue than anything else right now. She sees how good everyone else is and doesn't want to 'develop her skills while riding in the pack.' I think the 'extra' space issue is a very interesting angle though and worth a try.

Extra space was the main reason my wife started to ride her own. She still doesn't really like to ride around town, just on long trips. But she has learned to do both. Also, try to get your wife to go out riding on her own. I think that was a big factor with mine, she started riding by herself, and very quickly fell in love with it. Although I don't think I will ever get her on a trike, which I wish she would consider, I know she would continue to ride to her eighties if that would happen. We'll see, she is a better rider on the highway than alot of guys I have ridden with in the past, and she actually prefers side by side, which she would have never considered if not for the run.
One more point, if you are only taking one bike, you might consider the two wheeler. By the second or third day you could be up in third plt., or even closer to the front, which puts you into the fuel stops earlier, and if the trikes and trailers fall behind as they did last year, you might actually miss some of the good stuff, especially the ride over the bridge in Mississippi!!!! I know my wife makes sure she is in first or second for that every year!!
