Back on Apr. 20, 2011 I posted and new subject called "You Know Your An FNG When......"
After nearly 7,000 views and 10 pages of comments the post was archived by the System Admin.
I thought it would be fun to start the post again for our new FNG's.  This was my first post as an FNG back
then.  Funny how I have the same questions and feelings this year.  You FNG's can take it from here.

You know your an FNG when you have to ask what does FNG mean.
You know your an FNG when you are stressing out every day if you can survive the RFTW ride.
You know your an FNG when you wounder where all of those road names came from and should you really ride with someone with a name like "Tipsy", Grumpy, Killer, etc...
You know your an FNG when .........................

Well I know what FNG means... Farting's Never Gross.
Stressing about the ride?  Nah, Can't wait to start from NH and go ATW (as an FNG)
Roadnames... I had dinner with a Guy named Crazy Dave, Lunch with a guy named simpleman and another dinner with a Shadow.  I just hope I can come up with my own before someone else does it for me and it sticks.

Can't wait for the ride!

BlueX--You can give yourself a roadname if you want, but trust me, it will only last until your fellow riders spot a trait, a quirk, or you have some kind of incident like running out of gas---just ask "Vapors."  And really, the only ones worth having are the ones given to us by our peers.

You know you're an FNG when... even though there was a short time in your life where you drove an escort truck for wide loads cross country and got the handle "off hand" because the CB was full of chatter about the young guy being on the road away from his then girlfriend and you hope the hell that name doesn't come back....

Or when you picked out the Purple Yamaha Roadstar back in 2000 and your RC dubbed you "Barney" after the big purple dinosaur and every bike night a new Barney stuffed animal found its way bungied to yet a different spot on the bike....

Or the clown face avatar that you were given from another forum you belong to and given the name Papalonis....

You know you're an FNG when the people around you decide no matter what name you think you have, they're gonna give you what they want to call you wether you answer to it or not.  ;-)

Like PapaSmurf says, doesn't matter what "name" you think you have, you will do something that sparks your borthers and sisters to come up with a name that fits.  Welcome to the run and I look forward to shaking your hand and "Welcoming YOU HOME"..!!!

I remember a brother who got a "temporary" name change for always forgetting to reset his watch due to time zone changes as we crossed the country; new name was ZULU! Good handle Blue X; I like it

Speaking of You know you are an FNG; my first run in that "Little Green Jeep" was almost the last before it started. I was so amped up as we left the old T & A Truck Stop in Ontario, I was closing on the back of the pack at about 60 mph when I realized I was still in 2nd gear! Geez, it's a wonder that little 6 banger didn't cook off right there. Gotta be a handle for that
