Scott, thank you for your service.  This is a wonderful place to pick up some information, as well as kinda get to know some folks before you see them face to face.
I vote for the SR but I am sure no matter which route you choose, it will be a ride of a life time and something that you will never forget.
Please feel free to contact me at anytime should you have any questions, concerns or should you need anything before you come Home.

Scott, thank you so much for your service.......

I was on the Southern Route this year for my first RFTW ride and now I am hooked but you can't go wrong on either route. I will ride the Southern route again next year. I would love to meet you in person, shake your hand and say in person: "Welcome Home" and to say: "Thank You For Your Service." You will also get a hug from me but probably not quiet like the hug you will get from Raven. The people you will run in to on this forum are American Patriots, every one of them. They are also just down right good people. They are all also my new family. Thank you for reaching out to us and again, Thank you for Serving.

If there is anything we can do for you or your buddies just let it be known here and someone will try to do it.

I have the utmost respect for what you are doing. Be safe and I TRULY DO APPRECIATE YOU.........

Thanks for the response. We have everything we need here, I usually give stuff i get in the mail to the kids that I see on the street. Im in Kabul, Afghanistan doing convoy security / security escort. It hasnt been too bad so far, hopefully it stays that way. The end is near, only 5 1/2 months left on our year long deployment. Time is flying by, I cant believe its already July.
Im fairly certain I will be taking the southern route, I live in Alabama (ROLL TIDE). My dad and uncle will be joining me in Chattanooga, they'll be riding from Michigan and Ohio. I look forward to meeting all of you.

All the way? One of these days no doubt. I'm going to join the group in Chattanooga, its only about 90 miles from where I live in Alabama. When I get home, Im going to spend all the time I can with my wife and kids. I have a couple small trips planned but I cant go away for that long without them, this time away has been too hard on them and me as well.

Toad6301 that would be great, would love to have you come.  We meet the Dallas gang in VanHorn and onward to pick up Cowboy and ride.  We have a good time and it is great to practice platoon riding on the way out.  We don't have RG's but we do have concerned citizens with us.  Keep you posted on details.  If you get a chance you might want to think about coming to the reunion in Kerrville in September, be a chance to meet a bunch of folks and get in a ride in the hill country.
