I would love to join all of you, if date and time allows. I will check if Doc/Glenn (who rode the central route this year and should be given a new road name of "deserter") will be interested in joining you for lunch also. I am looking forward to seeing the 2009 FNG patch. Doc and I had a great ride down to the Florida Keys, New Orleans and Big Bend National Park TX. Hot and humid but we met some wonderful people. If we go on to Pendleton do we have to have those reflective vests. Also is there any interest in the RFTW-Israel trip? Take care.

OK Folks I will be gone for a week with our Grandkids but the 24th of July sounds good to me when I get back I will check with Camp Pendleton about lunch and the Club House, I think as long as we have all the paperwork we had to join the RFTW we can get on base. Ride safe all.

Greetings to all-
I spoke with Sixshooter, who will be out of town on the 24th. He is not sure if he could set up our meeting at Pendleton- probably but he would have to work on it. He is slammed with work and the prospects of retiring- he hasn't made a decision on that yet.
For now, I would suggest we keep the date and select an alternative location?
I'd be good with Hell's Kitchen, Julian, or even the Biker Bar/Restaurant in Elsinore whose name I can't remember- I will look it up and pop another post. Another place I like is the Pala Casino on Hwy 76 a few miles east of the 15 freeway in the San Diego North County hills. They have something of a food court, and a huge patio area where we could hang out eating and talking. (Our specialty...)
That's pretty far south for some who would be coming from the greater LA basin, I'm sure there are other options.
Ideas???

Thanks to all for time and effort into So Cal RFTW Family Lunch. I like Hell's Kitchen, seemed to work well last time, with that being said, variety is the spice of life, another location works for me also. No better excuse than to ride the bikes, meet with old friends, make new friends. Pala Casino sounded interesting, there are many ways to the Casino, make an interesting day ride. If there is anything I can do to reserve us a place please let me know. See you soon, ride safe. JW

The casino sounds like a great one! been there before for brunch...they serve quite a spread. From Rancho to Pala Casino is about an hour direct, 90 minutes if you take the scenic tour. Sunday the 24th? Wahttaya say? Coming up in a couple of weeks.

I know there are a few different casino's down that way, stopped there once several years ago., which ever one has plenty of space so we all can have a good time. I am not the correct person to decide which casino, LOL! Timeline, I would think noon - one? , so family who must travel further have plenty of time to get back and forth. Looking forward to seeing everybody.

Are we good with Pala then, sometime between Noon an One pm? On the patio outside the food court?
The lower level of the casino parking structure has a big area set aside for bikes, and there is a lot of room in there anyway for covered parking.
Sunday July 24th, Pala Casino, 5 miles east of Hwy 15 on SR 76.

Here's the deal at Pala:
We will meet on the patio just outside the food court, so we can make our own arrangement for seating/ mingling. The food is available just inside, a variety of food and beverage options- just get what you want and bring it outside.
So we really don't need a headcount to turn in- just come and bring anyone and as many as you want. The patio is big- we won't need more room.

Ya'll all enjoy and someone post some pictures for all us in Texas and other states that do not get to come. Sapper and I are going to head up to Tulsa soon for the reunion and I will take some pictures there.
