If the Lord's willing, & my health & financial situation improves, I'm aiming at coming over for the 2012 RFTW. I'm hoping to do the Central Route - All The Way to D.C.. I know that I keep rabbiting on about Terry Sharp's Videos of his RFTW 2010 CR experience on YouTube, but as he got to me first
; I'd like to do the same route, as he's reminded me of how beautiful your country is.From the tan & browns of California/Arizona/& New Mexico (So similar to where I'm from) to the multiple shades of green of West Virginia. The descent into Rainelle & visiting the kids at the local school. When you then throw in the idea of being surrounded by a family that "understands you for being you" due to the shared life experiences we went through by all being (current or ex-)servicemen & women - WOW.
+ the fact that I think that you're all certifiabley nuts, which is good 'cause I think I'll fit right in
  . I've never laughed so much, & had such a problem with "leaky eyes" than when I read the posts on this forum. You guys (& Ladies) make my day. Hugs & best wishes to all from half a planet away.Cargo

plan to ride on that bike for RFTW?" then he begins to laugh uncontrollably. $1,000 later he says it might make it now.

I look forward to that Galuppe but as a true FNG I must say.......... You know your an FNG when you are so STRESSED OUT!!!!!! about the RFTW you find yourself only counting forwards if you can count at all now.

I learned very early (1997) that FNG means Love. I was welcomed home. And have returned the hugs many times since to other FNGs. Yeah, I meet these "people" once a year, and I love you all. RFTW is family. WELCOME HOME

You know you are an FNG when you really think you can get 1236 items on your check list done in 7 days.... whittle it down and I hope you are not trying to pack all those items unless they are nuts and bolts I would have a hard time pacing them in a cage.

Everyone knows you are an FNG, when a RG has to yell at you, and you take it personal...... it's not, so don't take that way. (Just necessary sometimes). |

You know you are an FNG when you have spent the last three weeks telling anyone you have been around whether family members or co-workers or strangers all about the RFTW. When your leaving, your route, what you are going to do in DC. Where to go to watch the pack come into town. Most of them also wishing it was time for you to leave so they did not have to listen to you anymore.... gotta go check the bike again and make sure its ready to go.
