My main interest in Run For The Wall is the mission, the ride, and the friends I have made doing it. It surprised me to discover the deep emotions I had carried so long and so unaware last year- I went through a lot of Kleenex!
I didn't get involved here to do business, but I do have a unique ability to supply some things I can either make or get at low cost. I am self employed, and I supply embroidered products to my customers. Over the years I figured out how to make patches and have supplied these to different biking clubs and ministries.
I do not sell things to compete with the RFTW merchandise, and I respect both the letter and spirit of the law with regard to "Run For The Wall" as a protected copyright. I encourage everybody to buy from RFTW, and will buy some things there myself.
My interest is to supply personalized patches and other wearables they don't sell. I have a cheapo website where I have pictures of the products I think enhance the motorcycling experience- you can go there if you are interested and poke around the products and a few motorcycle adventure stories. It is not interactive, you will have to contact me if you want anything.
The products I would highlight here are: Personal patches, the lighted caps, the desert rider gloves, the heavy sweatshirts, and some jackets. I have a denim jacket that you can cut off the sleeves to make a vest, a light lined windbreaker, and a heavier lined nylon jacket that zips fully through to keep you warm on a long slog through the cold.
While not personalized, the Desert Rider gloves are just simple white cotton gloves that keep your hands cool and the sun off your wrists.
The Website is: raggtopp.5u.com
See y'all in Rancho Cucamonga!

Message to any diabetics on the run. If you are still concerned about transporting insulin under some refrigeration while riding, I can get you a small insulated cooler that is waterproof, is designed to carry a standard "six-pack," and should carry enough ice to last all day.
It comes in either Red with black panels or Gold with black panels.
Carrying strap and top mesh pocket. It also has a front pocket that I can embroider without piercing the waterproof panel, so I can put your name, "Insulin" or whatever on it to make sure it is only yours.
Cost is $8.00 plus shipping of $2.00, $10 total. (California residents add $0.70 sales tax.)

BankerChuck, I can make you a name patch if you want. Let me know, there's still plenty of time to get it to you and on your vest before blast-off.

I have a few headlight caps available for anybody, especially campers. These are top quality digital camo caps with built in bright LEDs that are perfect for campers working in the dark and needing both hands.
Last year, 2011 RFTW, we used these hats and never really needed any flashlights. The hats can be embroidered with whatever you want that doesn't violate protected copyrights. Send an email to: tomcameron@cox.net |

Sidewalk,
A suggestion for your coolers. I am a diabetic and already have a similar cooler. I had a local embroiderer sew in red lettering on my bag "Medical Supplies". My bag has a front pocket, I went to the TSA website and downloaded the information on carrying you meds onto an airplane. I went to my doctor and had him write me a letter explaining my need to eat and drink to regulate my blood sugar. I keep both documents in the pocket on the cooler. I load the cooler with my meds, some food, and a vitamin water everytime I fly. Everything goes right through security. Heavy Hawg

The coolers are designed to be embroidered with pretty much any message, especially that it contains medical supplies.
Little problem with the embroidery idea, the pocket is too small for my machine to do the sewing. I will make a patch with the pertinent information- and placed in the mesh zippered compartment on top. Thanks, HH! Edited by LaiKhe67tc - Feb-20-2013 at 6:53pm |
