421 Salem Drive

On Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at approximately 3:02 a.m., officers responded to 421 Salem Drive on a disturbance call where an individual had been shot. Upon arrival, officers located 21-year-old Paul C. Young of Plano on the garage floor. He had been shot multiple times. He was transported to Plano Medical Center where he was taken into surgery for treatment of his wounds. Following his surgery, he was listed in serious condition.

Officers determined that a disagreement between three individuals had taken place just prior to the shooting. In addition to Mr. Young, also involved in the dispute were 20-year-old Tyler C. Meraz of Plano and 19-year-old Taylor E. Griffith of Richardson. Mr. Griffith was identified as the assailant. He fled the scene after the shooting. Hours later, he was located by Richardson Police officers and taken into custody. Mr. Meraz, who was not injured, also fled the scene but was located and was questioned by investigators. Several other people were inside the home at the time of the incident. They were not harmed. Mr. Griffith is currently in charge is a second-degree felony.

This is the shooter! To young to even be out of school and looking at maybe the next 25 years in prison......So Sad....
